However, if the sharing of documents, applications, and sensitive information happen throughout your computer network, it's vital to keep things safe. You might be just adding random computers, phones or tablets into the network without worrying, but if the network is breached that could jeopardize client information, delay projects, and possibly have financial and/or legal implications.

When your company owns and operates a building with no less than six floors and six hundred employees, you need business phone systems to keep everyone connected and connect the outside world to the business. Ideally, it would be great if the receptionist at the front desk could hit a couple of buttons and connect calls as easily as he/she types a memo. The company is still going strong because it has either absorbed other tech companies, or it has been absorbed itself by another big-name tech company. It seems that everything is moving from the physical to the technical. This includes a company's internet network. Software-defined networking is the newest way for companies to manage their network, but, as all new technology, it has benefits AND possible problems. What is Software-Defined Networking (SDN)? Software-defined networking (SDN) transfers network management from the physical routers and switches to software. This gives companies the capability to separate the data plane and control plane in routers and switchers.
